JAKARTADAILY.ID – The search for the Cianjur earthquake victims continues until the first extension ends Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

The Cianjur Earthquake Emergency Handling Command Post recorded 328 dead and 12 others were still declared missing.

The Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said, to complete this missing person list, the command post decided to extend the search period for missing victims for three days, from December 1 to 3, 2022.

This is due to the condition of the field and the heirs who still hope to find victims who are still missing.

"We, Cianjur Regency, have proposed an additional three days," said Herman Suherman, Regent of Cianjur in a press statement on the tenth day after the earthquake.

In addition, Jumaril, representative of the National Search and Rescue Agency (BNPP)/Basarnas for the West Java region, stated that his party was ready with resources to extend the search for missing victims. This was followed up after a request from the local government.

A joint team's search operation on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, evacuated one victim who died. Basarnas informed that the deceased was found in Cicadas Village.

Today, the search for Basarnas and other SAR elements is focused on three locations: the Cijedil area, the Shinta shop, and Cicadas Village.

Meanwhile, temporary data for damaged houses that have been validated as of Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 15.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), totaling 17,864 units, with details, 4,376 homes were heavily damaged, 5,306 moderately injured, and 8,182 lightly damaged.

Currently, the Cianjur Regency Government has prepared 3 lands that will be used to relocate residents affected by the earthquake. One of these relocation areas is located in Sirnagalih Village, Cilaku District.

The land in Sirnagalih Village was chosen after a recommendation from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agen (BMKG) regarding safety against potential hazards, both geological and hydrometeorological hazards.
