JAKARTADAILY.ID – The death of a family in a house in Kalideres, West Jakarta, remains a mystery with some new details that somehow make the story weirder.

Police Grand Commissioner Hengki Haryadi said that investigators have discovered that one of the corpses may have been dead since May 13, 2022.

Hengki said these findings were based on the two mobile phones discovered at the scene and a couple of witness statements.

Hengki explained that each phone was shared amongst two people, and added that there was also the PeduliLindungi app on each phone.

"Digital forensic results found that there were only two cellphones. These were used by the fourth victim, one cellphone was used by each of the two people. We saw a PeduliLindungi app on behalf of each of the two people," said Hengki at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, November 21, 2022, as reported by PMJ News.

"We found one-way communication from one cellphone to another. There are a lot of words about negative emotions that are currently being discussed by forensic psychology," he explained.

The witness told one of the investigators that one of the victims, namely Budiyanto Gunawan, planned to pawn the certificate of the house he was living into a savings and loan cooperative. Initially, Budiyanto wanted to pawn his house certificate through a mediator. The victim then immediately handed over the original certificate of the house to the mediator.
