DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Limits Concert Audience to 70 Percent Capacity

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency will be limiting the number of concertgoers to a maximum of only 70 percent capacity.

This is stated in Decree No. e-1963/PW.01.02 of 2022 concerning PPKM Level 1 Corona Virus Disease 2019 in the Tourism Business Sector.

The decree states that a limited audience capacity will be an additional requirement that needs to be met by music event organizers.

Head of the DKI Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Andhika Permata, asked the music concert organizers to pay attention to the number of visitors, considering that Jakarta is still on PPKM (Restrictions on Community Activities) Level 1.

"Event organizers must limit visitors to a maximum capacity of 70 percent with operating hours starting from 11.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB," said Andhika reported by PMJnews on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Andhika also added that organizers are obliged to complete a recommendation letter from the Covid-19 Task Force, a Temporary Performance Registration Certificate (TDPT), as well as a crowd permit from the police authority.

He emphasized that the organizers should pay attention to the arrangement and flow of visitors' arrivals and departures, the layout of the event venue, the placement of tables, chairs, booths, hallways, evacuation routes, and the implementation of health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"Organizers are required to arrange visitors or Crowd Control Management according to the number of visitors. In addition, the PeduliLindungi application must also be used for screening," explained Andhika.

In addition, organizers are also required to maintain the security, comfort and safety of visitors, and are required to provide a Payment Gateway system for transaction processing and ticket registration.

The Central Jakarta Metro Police have also named two suspects in the case of the "Berdendang Begoyang" music festival at Istora Senayan some time ago. However, even though they are designated as suspects, they are only required to report.

The Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Komarudin said the police are currently still examining witnesses and will carry out a follow-up case.
