JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) is investigating a case of alleged corruption in the provision of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Information.
The Director of Investigation (Dirdik) of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Kuntadi revealed that there were 4,200 Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) and supporting infrastructure suspected of being corrupted.
Thousands of BTS are spread throughout the country to support people doing online activities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He explained that currently, the Attorney General's Office is investigating cases of alleged corruption in the provision of 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for packages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 by the Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) of the Ministry of Information from 2020 to 2022.
The investigation of the case covers various remote areas in Indonesia.
"It covers the outermost part of Indonesia. There are 4,000 points," said Dirdik Jampidsus Kuntadi, when confirmed by reporters, Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Furthermore, in a written statement submitted by the Head of the AGO's Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum), Ketut Sumedana explained, a total of 4,200 points from the three consortiums are being investigated.
Based on the three consortiums, there are five packages with the following details:
- Package 1: Kalimantan 269 points and Nusa Tenggara 439 points.
- Package 2: Sumatra with 17 points, Maluku with 198 points, and Sulawesi with 512 points.
- Package 3: Papua 409 points and West Papua 545 points.
- Package 4: Papua 966 points.
- Package 5: Papua 845 points.
The case was raised from the investigation stage to the investigation stage on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

The increase in the status of the investigation to the investigation was carried out based on the collection of evidence and the examination of 60 witnesses.
