JAKARTADAILY.ID – The alleged case of drug trafficking involving the former West Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Teddy Minahasa, has entered a new phase.
Teddy Minahasa’s attorney, Hotman Paris Hutapea, said that he believes his client is not the perpetrator in the alleged drug trafficking case. But, Hotman believes that Inspector General Teddy was trapped, he is a victim.
According to Hotman, this is not a mere boast as a lawyer of the former West Sumatra Police Chief, but can be accounted for through the evidence that has been collected.
"The evidence is getting narrower, Teddy Minahasa is a victim," he told the media, in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Therefore, he can guarantee that his client will not be absent, let alone run away from responsibilities. Hotman emphasized that Teddy is ready to fully cooperate with the legal process.
Hotman also said that Inspector General Teddy never planned to file a pretrial, because he feels innocent. Hotman also believes he will be able to prove that his client was not involved in the case.
"Let's just follow the procedure first. And we are ready, if indeed this fulfills the requirements to be delegated, we will face it," he said.
Regarding the health condition of his client who has been officially detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center, Hotman said his client is in good health and fit.
Hotman continued, even making Irjen Teddy Minahasa in a healthy condition at this time.
"He's healthy. He's getting brighter, he's getting fresher," he said.
