Death Toll from the Kanjuruhan Tragedy Now at 133 As Another Dies at the Hospital

JAKARTADAILY.ID – Another soul was added to the official death toll from the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy bringing the total number of casualties to 133.

According to MalangVoice.com, the Public Relations officer of Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSAA), Donny Iryan, explained that the 33-year-old Andi Setiawan from Mergosono village, Malang was pronounced dead at the Anwar Hospital after previously undergoing treatment from the first day of the tragedy on October 1, 2022.

"Yes, Andi Setiawan from Mergosono, died at 13:20," he explained

The total number of victims in the Kanjuruhan Tragedy is currently 781 people. 573 minor injuries, 50 moderate injuries, and 25 seriously injured.

9 victims are still undergoing hospitalization of which 7 people are treated at RSSA Malang and 2 people at Kanjuruhan Hospital.

The Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy is the worst football tragedy in Indonesia and the second in the world.
