JAKARTADAILY.ID – Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu, otherwise known as Bharada E in police case files, the defendant in the murder case of Brigadier J, underwent his first trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday 18 October 2022.
During the trial, he expressed regret for shooting his senior Brigadier J on orders from his superior, Ferdy Sambo.
He said that as a member of the police force, he was unable to refuse the instructions of his superior, Ferdy Sambo, who holds the rank of Inspector General of Police.
"I deeply regret my actions," said Richard.
"I just wanted to say I am merely an officer who does not have the ability to refuse orders from a general, thank you," he added.
In the previous indictment, it is known that Ferdy Sambo asked his member Bharada E to shoot Brigadier J. This instruction began when Sambo's driver, Kuat Ma'ruf summoned Brigadier J to the living room of Sambo's official residence.

Seeing Brigadier J, Sambo immediately ordered Brigadier J to squat. Brigadier J then followed Sambo's directions while raising his hand and asking what had happened.
Meanwhile, Bharada E's attorney, Ronny Talapessy asked the panel of judges to present the other four defendants; Ferdi Sambo, Putri Candrawathi, Ricky Rizal Wibowo, and Kuat Ma'ruf in Bharada E's trial as witnesses.
"We ask Your Excellency through the public prosecutor to present witnesses named Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawathi, Ricky Rizal Wibowo, and Strong Ma'ruf," said Bharada E's attorney,” said Ronny Talapessy during the trial.
The request was submitted because he wanted to uphold the principle of a speedy trial, so he requested the presence of the four suspects as witnesses at the trial.
"In accordance with the principle of a quick trial, we ask for the next three days," said Ronny.
