Indonesian Police Inspector General Teddy Minahasa Arrested by Internal Affairs on Drug Related Charges

JAKARTADAILY.id – News circulated that Inspector General Teddy Minahasa Putra, was arrested by Indonesian National Police Internal Affairs allegedly related to a drug case.

Inspector General Teddy Minahasa Putra had just been appointed by the Indonesian Chief of Police, General Listyo Sigit as the Chief of the East Java Regional Police.

"While it is suspected to be true. If I'm not mistaken it is drugs. The issue is like that," said Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives Ahmad Sahroni when confirmed, Friday, October 14, 2022.

On October 10, 2022, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo issued a Secret Telegram Number: Kep/1386/X/2022/Date10-10-2022 concerning Dismissal from and Appointments in Positions within the Police.

In this telegram, Listyo Sigit removed the position of Inspector General of Police Nico Afinta as East Java Police Chief.

As his successor, Sigit appointed West Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Teddy Minahasa Putra to replace Nico Afinta.
