Indonesian Police Questions 22 Witnesses In a Gratification Case Involving Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Unit is currently investigating allegations of gratification related to the use of private jets by Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan.

The Head of the Public Information Bureau of the National Police, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, said that investigators had examined 22 witnesses, including 8 members of the National Police and 14 from the aviation side.

"The number of witnesses who were questioned was 22 people, consisting of 8 members of the National Police and 14 people from the aviation and other parties," Ramadhan said in his statement, Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

Ahmad Ramadhan added that as many as 15 sheets of documents became the object of investigation in the case.

"The evidence that became the object of the investigation was 15 pages of documents related to the use of the T7/JAB Jet aircraft," Ramadhan said.

Brigjen Hendra used the jet to fly Jambi to meet Brigadier J's family in Muaro Jambi as ordered by Ferdy Sambo.

Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan is one of the suspects in the obstruction of justice case. He allegedly obstructed the investigation into the death of Brigadier J. His files on this case are already sent to the public prosecutor and are ready to go for trial.

Meanwhile, the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) session for him was postponed several times.
