JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian police have named six suspects in the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy that killed 131 people.
"There are six suspects," said the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowoin his statement, at the Malang City Police Headquarters, Thursday, October 6, 2022.
Listyo said, the decision was made by the after a series of of investigations since the tragic incident occurred on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Of the six suspects, one of them is Ahkmad Hadian Lukita who serves as Director of the New Indonesian League (LIB) Director AHL.
According to Listyo, AHL appointed Kanjuruhan Stadium as the location of the match even though the stadium did not meet the requirements yet.
"AHL is responsible for each stadium to have a proper function certificate. But when appointing (Kanjuruhan Stadium), the requirements have not been fulfilled," said Listyo Sigit.

The second suspect is the Chairman of Arema FC’s Executive Committee, Abdul Haris, and the third suspect is Arema Security Officer Suko Sutrisno.
Listyo said the other three suspects are police officers.
"A member of the East Java Police Mobile Brigade with initial A who ordered to fire tear gas," said Lystio.

Furthermore, the National Police also named a suspect to the Head of the Samapta Unit of the Malang Resort Police, BS, who also ordered the shooting of tear gas inside the stadium.
"Head of the Samapta Unit of the Malang Resort Police, BS ordered members of police to fire tear gas," Lystio said..
