The National Police Receives Appeals from Four Defendants in the Police Code of Ethics Trial

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian National Police received appeals from four National Police officers who were sanctioned with dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) at the Police Code of Ethics Commission hearing.

The four police officers were convicted of violating the code of ethics in the handling of the premeditated murder case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that his party is currently preparing a team of judges for the appeal hearing.

“Yesterday, I asked the Head of Bureau of Supervision and Professional Development of Internal Affairs Division (Karowabprof), for the memory of the appeal has been received. But we are still preparing the appeal judge," said Dedi in his statement, Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Dedi added that his party will announce when the appeal hearing will be held in the appeal judge has been drawn up.

"Later, when the judge's appeal has been prepared, then submitted to the leadership and has been ratified, then we can announce when the appeal hearing will be held," he explained.

Meanwhile, separately, the Head of the Public Information Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Chief Commissioner Nurul Azizah, said that the National Police had held an ethics trial against 16 of a total of 35 police officers who violated the code of ethics in handling cases of suspected premeditated murder, Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.
