KPK Detains 6 Suspects in Supreme Court Bribery Case, Suspected Supreme Court Judge Not Yet Detained

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested 10 suspects in the bribery case in the Indonesian Supreme Court (MA). Six of them were immediately detained for the next 20 days.

"Starting from September 23, 2022, to October 12, 2022," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri at a press conference quoted on Twitter @KPK_RI, Friday, September 23, 2022.

The six suspects detained are; Substitute Registrars of the Supreme Court, Elly Tri Pangestu and Desy Yustria, who are also civil servants at the Registrar's Office of the Supreme Court, are being held at the KPK detention center at the Red and White Building.

Meanwhile, civil servants at the Supreme Court's Registrar's Office, Muhajir Habibie and two lawyers namely, Yosep Parera and Eko Suparno will be detained at the Central Jakarta Metro Police.

Four other suspects; Supreme Court Judge Sudrajad Dimyati, civil servants at MA Redi, and Heryanto and Ivan Dwi Kusuma Sujanto as Debtors of the Savings and Loans Cooperative have not yet been arrested.

Firli asked the suspects who have not been arrested to cooperate.

"Present according to the schedule for the summons which the team will immediately send," he said.
