JAKARTADAILY.ID – At an event celebrating the 67th Bhayangkara Traffic Day 2022 at the HI Roundabout, Central Jakarta, the Polda Metro Jaya Police Chief Insp. Gen. Fadil Imran conveyed a short but insightful message.
He said that "a nation's progress can be seen from the traffic," starting from the level of discipline, driving order, to the discipline of paying taxes.
This will be reflected in the indicators of the nation's economic progress, he said as he congratulated the traffic police at the 67th Bhayangkara Traffic Day event which was held on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
According to a press release published on the Polda Metro Jaya's official website, Fadil said he hoped that the Indonesian Traffic Police would be more advanced and the people of Bhayangkara would be ready to "work and serve the community."
Maybe for Jakarta residents, who have had to struggle with traffic jams in their daily lives, the words of traffic discipline are but empty words.
While not all would feel the same way, it is undeniable that bad traffic increases stress levels, and by extension aggravate some drivers and causes them to drive recklessly to avoid traffic in some cases.
Not only that, it is a bit late in the game to establish tax discipline, as often people only consider paying taxes as they are about to sell their vehicles.
