JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian National Police has confirmed that the Appeal Hearing for the prime suspect in the premeditated murder of Brigadier J, Ferdy Sambo, will be held next week.
"It is planned by the police special team (Timsus) that the Appeal Hearing will be held next week regarding the statement of appeal made by Inspector General FS," explained the spokesman for the National Police, Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Thursday, September 15, 2022.
Dedi revealed said that National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has authorized an appeal commission for the appeal trial filed by Ferdy Sambo.

"The information I received from the head of the team, is that the appeal commission has now been ratified by the Chief of Police," said Dedi
Dedi said the exact date has not been confirmed because it is still under consideration by the Special Team.
Previously, Ferdy Sambo has been officially dismissed from the Police after the Indonesian National Police Professional Code of Ethics (KEPP) trial handed down a Dishonorable Discharge (PTDH) verdict against him on Friday, August 26. Regarding the decision, Ferdy Sambo immediately filed an appeal.

Responding to the appeal, National Police spokesperson, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said that it was Ferdy Sambo's right to file an appeal. Dedi emphasized that the appeal decision would be final and binding.
"Especially for the case of Inspector General FS (Ferdy Sambo), the appeal is a final and binding decision. It does not apply (the new Police Regulation), the PK (judicial review) does not apply," said Dedi at the TNCC Building at the National Police Headquarters, Friday, August 26, 2022.
