Civil Servant Who Was Discovered Burnt and Mutilated in Semarang Was a Witness to a Corruption Case

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Central Java Regional Police are currently investigating the murder with mutilation case of Iwan Boedi Prasetyo, 51.

Iwan was later discovered to be a witness to corruption in the transfer of assets in the Semarang City Government (Pemkot).

Special Crime Directorate (Dirkrimsus) of Central Java Regional Police Chief Commissioner Pol Dwi Subagio said that his party had communicated with the victim who disappeared, mysteriously ahead of the investigation regarding the corruption case over the asset transfer of the Semarang City Government.

Dwi said that so far Iwan, who is a civil servant (PNS) of Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) Semarang City, was quite cooperative as a witness.

"Yes, it could be twice (we have communicated, ed), we communicated well, met, by telephoned," explained Dirkrimsus Central Java Police, Chief Commissioner Dwi Subagio quote from pmjnews, Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

In fact, the agenda for the examination on August 25 was an agreement between Iwan and the police. However, Iwan suddenly could not be contacted before the official examination.

"On the 25th, we have agreed that he will be summoned on August 25, to write a Police investigation report (BAP) but he lost,” he said.
