JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian National Police has carried out a reconstruction of the murder case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.
The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) assessed that the entire series of reconstruction processes were carried out in accordance with the principles of impartiality and fair trial.
"We followed all the processes well. The second, process was carried out impartially," explained Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam to reporters, Tuesday afternoon, August 30, 2022.
"There are some differences between confession A and confession B. But each confession is also tested. We think the process is very good," said Anam.
"In this human rights context, a fair trial process is given to every right in the interest of self-defense," he continued.
Anam hopes that the principles of impartiality and fair trial can be carried out by the police in the future, not only in the case of Brigadier J's murder.
