JAKARTADAILY.ID – Inspector General Ferdy Sambo has been officially dismissed from the Police after the Indonesian National Police Professional Code of Ethics (KEPP) trial handed down a Dishonorable Discharge (PTDH) verdict against him.

However, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo fought back and appealed the decision.

Responding to the appeal, National police spokesperson, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said that it was Ferdy Sambo's right to file an appeal. Dedi emphasized that the appeal decision would be final and binding.

"Especially for the case of Inspector General FS (Ferdy Sambo), the appeal is a final and binding decision. It does not apply (the new Police Regulation), the PK (judicial review) does not apply," said Dedi at the TNCC Building at the National Police Headquarters, Friday, August 26, 2022.

"So the appeal decision is final and binding, there is no longer any legal action," he continued.

According to Dedi, Ferdy Sambo has three days to file an appeal.

"In accordance with Article 69, the person concerned is given the opportunity to submit a written appeal within 3 working days," he said.

On that occasion, Dedi also emphasized that Ferdy Sambo would accept the results of his appeal.

"What is clear is that the person concerned has accepted whatever decision the appeal hearing will take," he said.
