JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) continues to monitor the flow of online gambling funds in Indonesia.
With the development of increasingly sophisticated technology, online gambling is increasingly spreading in the community.
The head of PPATK, Ivan Yustiavandana, said that his party had submitted at least 25 online gambling cases to law enforcement officers by PPATK from 2019 to 2022, with a very fantastic value.
"Online gamblers are very good at eliminating traces through technological advances," Ivan explained in his statement quoted on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
With expertise in IT technology, online gambling players can easily change or replace their online gambling sites. Not only that, but they also changed bank accounts.
"They often change new online gambling sites, move around, change accounts, and even combine the results of online gambling with legitimate businesses," he continued.
Ivan sees the need for good cooperation between law enforcement officers and the community as the closest entity to online gambling and land gambling activities.
