JAKARTADAILY.ID – Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror of the Indonesian National Police carried out a series of arrests for criminal acts of terrorism in Jakarta, Jambi, and South Sumatra on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
"Action has been carried out and arrests of perpetrators of criminal acts of terrorism on Tuesday, August 16, 2022," said National Police spokesperson Brigadier General Pol Ahmad Ramadhan in quoted Thursday, August 18, 2022.
Ahmad Ramadhan said that the two people arrested in Jakarta with the initials AF and AS were members of Jamaah Islamiah (JI).

He said that the AS were the perpetrators who handled JI's international relations, while AF was involved as the coordinator of JI's territorial areas in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek).
Ramadhan also revealed that Densus 88 also managed to arrest 2 suspected terrorists in the Jambi area.
The two terrorists who were arrested with the initials MR and DS were members of the Anshor Daulah (AD) network. Both have involvement in facilitating uzlah camps in Jambi and Aceh.

Ramadhan added that one terrorist who was arrested in South Sumatra is the owner of a media account that supports Ansor Daulah.
"Brother WH was arrested in South Sumatra with the involvement of the owner of the Basyira Media account that supports Anshor Daulah," said Ramadhan.
