JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) rejected the application for witness protection submitted by the wife of Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo, Putri Chandrawati. LPSK found many irregularities after conducting a number of assessments.
"The LPSK has decided to reject or stop the review of Mrs. Putri because she cannot be given protection," said the head of the LPSK Hasto Atmojo Suroyo to reporters at a press conference on Monday, August 15, 2022.
Hasto said that the LPSK found a number of irregularities since the initial application for protection was submitted. The irregularities include two reports of submission requests.
Hasto continued that LPSK also found that Putri Chandrawati did not cooperate well during her assessment.
"From the beginning, there were irregularities in this application. First, there were two other applications submitted by Mrs. P dated July 8, 2022, and there was an application based on the police report submitted by the South Jakarta Police on July 9, 2022," he explained.
Hasto further explained that LPSK had met Putri at least twice. However, no information was obtained regarding the death of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yoshua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.

On that basis, Hasto said that his party had doubts about Putri's application for protection. LPSK then decided to reject the application for protection, after reports of alleged harassment made at the South Jakarta Police were declared to be suspended.
"Because it has come to the point that the Criminal Investigation Unit has stopped investigating the report submitted by Mrs. P with the crime of sexual harassment, it turns out that no such crime has been found," he explained.
