JAKARTADAILY.ID - Indonesia's National Police named Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, the former head of its internal affairs unit, as a suspect in the death of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yoshua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.
The announcement came from the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Tuesday evening on August 9, 2022, at the National Police headquarters in Jakarta.

"The special team named FS (Ferdy Sambo) as a suspect," said General Listyo Sigit during a press conference.
Listyo also confirmed the statement from suspect Bharada E that the police-on-police shootout at Ferdy Sambo's official residence never happened.
This contradicts the police's previous official statement that Brigadier J was killed in a police-on-police shooting.
Confirming some allegations, including the ones made by the family of Brigadier J, Sigit also confirmed that Brigadier J was a murder victim.
"There was no shooting as reported earlier," the four-star general told reporters.
He added that Brigadier Ricky Rizal (RR) shot Brigadier J dead after he was ordered by his boss Ferdy.
