Bharada E Set to Testify and Become a 'Justice Collaborator' in the Brigadier J Case

JAKARTADAILY.ID – Richard Eliezer alias Bharada E, a suspect in the police-on-police shooting case volunteered as a "justice collaborator" (JC). He has also applied for protection from the Indonesian Witness Protection Agency (LPSK).

According to a report by PMJnews, Bharada E's attorney, Deolipa Yumara explained, that the application was made to uncover the case of the shooting of Brigadier J at the official home of the former Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

"Of course, from the point of view of this legal context, it is important to protect them as key witnesses, even if they are suspects," said Deolipa to reporters at the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit, South Jakarta, Sunday, August 7, 2022.

"So we agree, we have submitted the person concerned as a justice collaborator and we ask for legal protection from the LPSK," he explained.

On the same occasion, Deolipa also emphasized the appointment of himself and his team as the new legal counsel to accompany Bharada E in this case.

"Tonight, we have been appointed as the new attorney for Richard Eliezer or Bharada E. The status in question is a suspect because the lawyer previously resigned," he continued.

According to Deolipa, as a new attorney has also met his client Bharada E. Furthermore, he said that Bharada E's condition is in good health.
