Indonesian Police-on-Police Shooting Case: General Ferdy Sambo Detained for Alleged Breach of Conduct

JAKARTADAILY.ID – Inspector General of the Indonesian Police Ferdy Sambo has been detained at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters in Kelapa Dua, Depok City, on Saturday night, August 6, 2022.

The former National Police Internal Affairs Chief (Propam) was accused of violating procedures in the case of the death of Brigadier J.

National Police spekesperson, Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo confirmed the news. According to Dedi, special investigators found an alleged violation of procedures by Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

"Tonight, the person concerned was immediately placed in a special place at the Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters," said Dedi at the National Police Headquarters, he said, as quoted by pmjnews, Sunday, August 07, 2022.

Regarding the alleged procedural violation, Dedi said that Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was suspected of committing a violation, tampering with the crime scene.

"From Special Inspection (Riksus), it was determined that the Inspector General FS was suspected of committing a violation regarding unprofessionalism at the crime scene," said Dedi.

"(Unprofessionalism) in the implementation of the crime scene as stated by the National Police Chief, for example CCTV taking and so on," he continued.
