KPU chairman Hasyim Asy'ari said that nine political parties have confirmed that they will register on the first day of registration.
"There are already nine political parties that will be present to register on the first day of registration, namely the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the Justice and Unity Party (PKP), the Reform Party, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), the Nasdem Party, the Prosperous People's Party, the Indonesian Unity Party, and the Indonesian People's Wave Party,” said Hasyim quoted from kpu.go.id, Monday, August 1, 2022.
Hasyim explained that the KPU opened registration starting at 08.00 WIB. Registrant political parties will submit registration documents, registration letters, and other required documents
“For checking the size is the completeness of the documents. Are the required documents brought to the KPU complete or not,” he explained.
Hasyim explained that the KPU will check the completeness of the registered political party documents, including hardcopy documents in the form of registration letters, and statements regarding the permanent offices of political parties at the provincial, district, or city central levels.
In addition, the KPU will also check the recapitulation document including data on administrators at the central level, in 34 provinces, 75 percent of regencies/cities in each province, and 30 percent of the number of sub-districts in 75 percent of the regencies.
