JAKARTADAILY – The Jakarta Health Agency is currently administering Covid-19 vaccinations at the Jakarta International Stadium in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, from Wednesday, July 20, to Sunday, July 24, 2022.

The vaccinations will start at 1 PM and end at 9 PM. Those who wish to participate will have to sign up near the West Ramp of the Jakarta International Stadium Transjakarta Bus stop. The vaccine types provided are Sinovac, Pfizer, and Astra Zeneca.

"Especially on Sunday, residents can access the location via East Ramp and West Lobby on the 1st floor," said Ngabila Salama, the Jakarta Health Agency's Epidemiology and Immunization Surveillance Division Head, said, as quoted by BeritaJakarta.id on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

Ngabila added that the vaccinations will be for people aged 18 and older.

"Those who want to take a booster must register on the PeduliLindungi app. The time interval from the second dose of vaccine is three months," she explained.

Ngabila said the booster has shown proven results, according to some reports, to boost human antibodies, and prevent severe COVID-19, and death.

She said it is important for people who wish to attend large-scale events or events participated by more than 1,000 people, including those who seek to take domestic and international trips, to get vaccine boosters.

"There has been a slight increase in Covid-19 deaths in the last two weeks in Jakarta. Most are over 40 years old with comorbidities and have yet to receive a booster," she said.
