JAKARTADAILY.ID – Two police officers were involved in a shootout with each other at the residence of the Indonesian National Police Head of Profession and Security Division (Kadiv Propam) Inspector General Ferdy Sambo on Friday, July 8, 2022.
The two police officers involved were Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J and Bharada E.
Brigadier J died in the incident from five gunshots, while Bharada E is still being investigated.

The Indonesian National Police Commission (Kompolnas) is actively investigating the case. According to a report published on Pmjnews, Commissioner Poengky Indarti maintains the statement made by the National Police spokesperson who alleged that Brigadier J was shot because he committed sexual harassment.
According to Poengky, the victim of said sexual harassment was the wife of the Head of the Propam Police Division, who must be protected. Likewise, the person who allegedly shot Brigadier J, Bharada E, was doing just that.
"Kompolnas believes that victims of sexual violence and those who protect victims of sexual violence must be protected," said Poengky, in his statement, Monday, July 12, 2022.
Poengky also asked the public to wait for the results of the police investigation. Kompolnas, she continued, would support the ongoing legal process.
Meanwhile, police found a number of pieces of evidence related to the shooting case while investigating the crime scene at Duren Tiga Police Housing Complex Number 46 in Pancoran, South Jakarta.
"During the crime scene, we found a person lying covered in blood near the stairs going up, to the bathroom," said the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Budhi Herdi Susianto at a press conference, Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
"We (also) found evidence, both weapons, shells, and projectiles," he continued.
According to Budhi, his party received the report and immediately went to the scene. Next, the police called an ambulance to take Brigadier J's body to the hospital.
