PPATK Finds Funds from Aksi Cepat Tanggap NGO May Be Linked to Terrorism, Densus 88 Launches Investigation

JAKARTDAILY.ID – Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis (PPATK) found indications that funds from the Aksi Cepat Tanggap charity organization may be linked to terrorist activities.

According to a report published on the Metro Jaya Police news portal at pmjnews.com, the Special Detachment 88, or Densus 88 Anti-terror unit is currently investigating the case.

"Densus is still investigating this issue," said Head of the Operational Assistance Section (Kabagbanops) of Densus 88, Senior Commissioner Aswin Siregar on Monday, July 4, 2022.

Previously, PPATK was analyzing the flow of humanitarian funds from ACT and some of the results of the analysis had been submitted to the authorities.

"Yes, we have been in the process for a long time and we have submitted the results of the analysis to law enforcement officers," said PPATK Chair Ivan Yustiavandana to reporters, Monday, July 4, 2022.

Ivan revealed that the provisional analysis conducted by PPATK identified allegations of misuse of funds related to illicit activities. The results of the analysis have been submitted to Densus 88 and BNPT.

"The transaction indicates that (the existence of abuse). Indication of personal interest and related to suspected illicit activities. (Submission of analysis results) To Densus, BNPT, yes," he said.

Regarding this, ACT Vice President Ibnu Khajar expressed his deepest apologies to the people of Indonesia.

"A profuse apologies to the public, maybe people are not comfortable with the news," said Ibnu at a press conference held at the ACT Office, South Jakarta, Monday, July 4, 2022.
