JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) announced the winners of the Regional and Building Design Concept Competition in the new Capital City of Nusantara (IKN) on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
This competition included designs for the Vice President's Palace Complex, Legislative Office Complex, Judicial Office Complex, and Worship Complex.
The winners of the competition went through various stages after the Regional and Building Design Concept Competition at IKN Nusantara was opened on March 28, 2022.
Over the course of the competition, the first phase, which started from June 6 up to June 10, the judges decided on the top three designs in no particular order until June 20 to 22. Then the process of determining the winner is carried out by the Minister of PUPR together with the jury.
For the Judicial Office Complex, the first prize was won by a work entitled Adil Ka Talino, the second winner, with the title Paramarta, and the third winner was Cakra Nusantara.
As for the Vice President's Palace Complex, it was decided that there would be no first prize, but there were two works that were designated as second winners, namely the work entitled Huma Betang Umai and the People's Palace, and the third-place winner with a work entitled Dwi Arya Wibawa.
As for the worship complex, three selected works were designated as second-place winners, namely works entitled Humanity Beyond Religion, Cahaya Batang Haring Nusantara, and Akur Rukun.
For the Legislative Office Complex, it was also decided that there would be no first prize, but two works that won second place, namely Sasana Swara Nusantara and Knitting Swara Indonesia. The third place was won by the Circle of Democracy.
The winners will receive an award in the form of cash with details of the first winner of Rp 500 million, second place of Rp 250 million, and third place of Rp 150 million.

Director-General of Cipta Karya, Ministry of PUPR, Diana Kusumastuti said the selected design had met the criteria for the area and building design concept at IKN Nusantara.
These criteria include meeting the key performance indicators (KPI) related to buildings that have been set in the Urban Design Document for the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) - IKN.
Then, the design reflects the nation's identity in the interior and exterior design of the building, pays attention to the applicable regulations and provisions regarding State Buildings (BGN), applies the principle of green building, and applies the principle of building convenience.
