JAKARTADAILY.ID – Following a botched social media promotion campaign and a non-apology letter, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officially revoked the business licenses of all Holywings outlets in Jakarta.
Recently, the nightclub launched a social media campaign that offered free drinks to people named Muhammad and Maria, which did not sit right with the public.
After stirring controversy, Holywings promptly released an "apology" letter which essentially threw their employees under the bus, saying that "those responsible have been handed to authorities."
"According to the governor's direction to act decisively, in accordance with the provisions and deterrent, and based on the recommendations and findings of the two DKI Jakarta Provincial Government OPDs, we as the PM-PTSP Service revoke the business licenses of 12 Holywings outlets in Jakarta in accordance with applicable regulations," said the Head of Provincial Investment and One-Stop Service DPMPTSP DKI Jakarta Province, Benny Agus Chandra as quoted from the DKI Jakarta PPID Press Release, Monday, 27 June 2022.

Benny said that the revocation of the permit by DPMPTSP was based on recommendations and findings of violations from two Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), namely the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office (Disparekraf) and the Industry Office, Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs (DPPKUKM) DKI Jakarta Province.
Benny confirmed that 12 Holywings Group outlets had their business licenses revoked.
The following are the 12 Holywings outlets in Jakarta whose operating licenses have been revoked:
1. Holywings which is located in North Tanjung Duren Village
2. Holywings in Kalideres
3. Holywings in Kelapa Gading Barat
4. Tigers
5. Dragons
