JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Indonesian Attorney General's Office named two new suspects in a graft case involving former Garuda Indonesia executives for the procurement of the CRJ 1000 and ATR 72-600 aircrafts for the national airliner.
"We have named two new suspects, namely ES (Emirsyah Satar) as the former President Director of PT Garuda. The second is SS as the Director of PT Mugi Rekso Abadi," said Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin at the Kartika Building of the Attorney General's Office, Monday, June 27, 2022.
The Attorney General revealed that based on the results of the audit team, state losses incurred by this corruption case reached Rp 8.8 trillion.
"We have submitted the results of the audit on state losses of PT Garuda (to be) worth Rp 8.8 trillion in Indonesia, that's the loss caused by PT Garuda," he said.
Emirsyah and Soetikno are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph 1 junction Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption junction Article 55 paragraph 1.
In this case, the procurement of the Garuda aircraft, the Attorney General's Office has named 3 suspects. One of them is Setijo Awibowo (SA) as VP Strategic Management Office Garuda Indonesia 2011-2012.
Then, Agus Wahjudo as Executive Project Manager Aircraft Delivery PT Garuda Indonesia 2009-2014, and Albert Burhan (AB) as VP Vice President Treasury Management PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk period 2005-2012.
