Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo: Determining the Presidential Candidate is the Prerogative of Megawati

JAKARTADAILY.ID - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo was lined up as a cadre who read out the recommendations for the 2021 PDI-P (PDIP) National Working Meeting (Rakernas) II at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Thursday, June 23, 2022.

The PDIP politician reads seven recommendations from Rakernas II, one of which was the decision that the decision of the PDIP presidential candidate (Capres) was the prerogative of Megawati Soekarnoputri as the General Chair Women of the PDIP.

“The Party's Second National Working Meeting confirms that the determination of the pair of presidential and vice-presidential candidates to be carried by the PDI-P in the 2024 General Election, is the prerogative of the Party General Chair, Prof. DR. (H.C.) Megawati Soekarnoputri," said Ganjar as quoted from the official PDIP website, Friday, June 24, 2022.

Ganjar said that the National Working Meeting participants conveyed the importance of grounding Pancasila based on the philosophy and spirit of its birth on June 1, 1945.

Pancasila is the ideology, philosophy, foundation, and guiding star of all strategic government policies, and becomes the guideline for the life of the nation and state.

"In this regard, the national education curriculum in all educational strata must include Pancasila as a compulsory subject," said Ganjar.

The next recommendation, Ganjar conveyed that the National Working Meeting participants proposed that the party fully support the government's efforts in recovering the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination.
