JAKARTADAILY.ID - The police stated that the one-way policy would be reinstated in the return flow of Eid homecoming 2022.
The policy will be implemented in Jakarta from May 6 to 7, 2022, or D+4 after Eid al-Fitr 1443 H.
Therefore, the National Police Head Traffic Corps, Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, asked the public to take advantage of this moment.
He also asked people not to stay too long in their hometowns and immediately return to their homes.
"I hope that people who have celebrated Eid and apologized [to each other], don't make any more mistakes, and return home quickly. Because they departed early, didn't they?" said Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi as quoted by the NTMC Polri on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Firman explained that the reason for asking the people to go home early was to avoid overcrowding that might occur during the return flow after Eid. The peak of the 2022 Eid backflow is estimated to occur from Friday, May 6, 2022, to Sunday, May 8, 2022.
This is because, on Monday, May 9, 2022, all workers must return to the office as usual.
"Take advantage of May 6, 2022, to May 7, 2022, since we will implement a one-way policy on return flow, so it would be better to go home earlier," he explained.
Firman said that the police would regulate the return of traffic, while travelers were asked to obey the rules that had been set.
