Puan Maharani Wants Holiday Bonuses for Civil Servants Disbursed on Time

Based on the regulations, the holiday bonuses of Eid al-Fitr and thirteenth salary are to be given to ASN, government employees with work agreements, the National Army/Police, state officials, as well as retirees.

The holiday bonus of Eid al-Fitr must be paid as early as D-10 of Eid al-Fitr, while the thirteenth salary is given at the earliest in July.

Puan has reminded the central government, regional governments, and government agencies to accelerate the payment of the thirteenth salary and the holiday bonus.

"Don't be late, especially for the Regional Government to immediately prepare a Regional Head Regulation (Perkasa) so holiday bonuses for ASN are immediately disbursed," said the first-ever Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

"Each regional head must continue to monitor so that the distribution of holiday bonuses runs smoothly so as not to hinder the preparation of Civil Servants ahead of Eid al-Fitr," added Puan.

The former coordinating minister for human development and culture went on to appreciate the government for issuing a policy that granted ASN an additional allowance, namely the performance allowance.

According to Puan, the additional performance allowance can increase consumer purchasing power and promote economic recovery in turn.

Indonesia currently has 1.8 million ASN and retirees in the central government set to receive Eid al-Fitr holiday bonuses in 2022. Meanwhile, at the regional level, there are 3.7 million ASN and 3.3 million pensioners.

"Regions that have not allocated holiday bonuses and thirteenth salary budgets must immediately prepare them according to applicable regulations," added Puan.
