Registration for the IKN Region Concept and Building Design Contest closed today, Total prizes IDR3.4 billion

JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) held a Region Concept  and Building Design Competition for the IKN [Nusantara Capital City] with a total prize of Rp3.4 billion. Registration for the competition will be close today, Friday, April 8, 2022.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said IKN would be built in stages until 2045 by carrying out the Future Smart Forest City of Indonesia concept so that it still pays attention to environmental aspects.

"In the early stages of 2022-2024, development that will begin to work will be prioritized in zones 1A-1 and 1A-2 of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP - IKN) covering an area of ​​6,671 hectares," said Basuki.

This design concept competition was held for areas and buildings located at KIPP - IKN in four complexes, namely the Vice President's Palace Complex, Legislative Office Complex, Judiciary Office Complex, and Worship Complex.

Registration for the competition opened on March 28, 2022 and closes on April 8, 2022 today, with the deadline for submissions on June 1, 2022. The best work will be announced on June 24, 2022.

All submitted works will be assessed by a team of judges consisting of practitioners, representatives of the Ministry of PUPR, representatives of the Indonesian Architects Council, representatives of the Indonesian Architects Association, academics, green building experts, the KIPP - IKN City design team, representatives of relevant agencies and representatives of community leaders.

This competition is open to Indonesian citizens (WNI) and non-WNI who cooperate with the Construction Consultancy Business Entity by fulfilling the requirements according to the applicable laws and regulations. Participants are groups that have expertise in architectural design with group leaders having to be Indonesian citizens and have a minimum of Intermediate Architect competence.

The selected winner will receive an appreciation in the form of a certificate of appreciation and a total prize of Rp3.4 billion.
