Jokowi Attends to the Kendi Nusantara Ritual at IKN, 6 Governors Fail to Show Up

JAKARTADAILY.ID - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and 27 Governors of provinces in Indonesia carried out the Kendi Nusantara ritual, which was held at the new Nusantara Capital City (IKN) on Monday, March 14, 2022.

The Kendi Nusantara began with all the attendees singing the national anthem of Indonesia Raya. It later proceeded with each governor handing over the soil and the water to Jokowi, who later put it into a jug container. Meanwhile, the six absentee governors had their deputy governors represent them on the occasion.

Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Heru Budi Hartono, said the six governors were unable to attend due to health reasons.
