JAKARTA DAILY - The two-term mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya Sugiarto, was asked about his political plans after serving as the number one person in Bogor, West Java.

Bima Arya answered various questions from Masayu Putri, who represented hundreds of media under Pikiran Rakyat Media Network (PRMN), at the 'Clarification' event by PRMN.

Quoted from the PRMN Youtube channel on February 22, 2022, Bima Arya, Amanat Nasional Party's (PAN) politician born on December 17, 1972, said that if he leads to the governorship, "that means leveling up."

Bima Arya only answered that the possibility (of being promoted to governor) could only happen if he were still healthy and given a long life.

Bima Arya said his focus now remains on improving Bogor City.

"If we want to level up, either to be a governor or something else, I have to finish the homework in Bogor first," said Bima Arya, who has served as mayor of Bogor for the second term since April 20, 2019.

"There is still a list of unfinished homework to 2024. The matter of public transportation, market arrangement, stunting, brawls are still the issues we need to resolve," Bima said.

Bima Arya explained that he had not overthought any strategy or even campaign for the governorate if the following tasks remained unfinished.

"To level up [to be promoted as a governor] would feel a lot better if the tasks are done. Wherever we go, our ground will be strong. But if the tasks aren't done, it's hard for us even to be forced on leveling up," said Bima Arya.

His confidence foundation on leading Bogor City for two terms.

However, Bima Arya then replied that armed with his experience of serving for two terms in Bogor City, it could help him if he was indeed supported to 'level up.'

Bima Arya said he would follow orders from the party if he were still trusted or assigned by the party.

"If the party assigns me to one point or is prepared for other positions, as a member of a political party, InsyaAllah, I will be ready," he said.

Diplomatically, Bima Arya answered as asked whether he was more inclined to be the governor of DKI Jakarta or West Java. Considering his track record and origins, he admitted his difficulties leaving West Java.
