JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesia's Attorney General's Office has announced that six suspects have been detained in connection with alleged corruption at the Port and Dredging Company Pension Fund (DP4) at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) between 2013 to 2019.
The Investigative Team at the Directorate of Investigation of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (JAM PIDSUS) has been investigating the case and named the six suspects.

The suspects include EWI, the former President Director of DP4 from 2011 to 2016, KAM, the former Finance Director of DP4 from 2008 to 2014, US, a DP4 Investment Manager from 2005 to 2019, IS, a Real Sector Investment Staff from 2012 to 2017, CAK, a member of the Supervisory Board of DP4 from 2012 to 2017, and AHM, a private land broker.
"To speed up the investigation process, the six suspects will be detained," said the Investigative Team in a written statement from the Attorney General's Office on Tuesday.
The suspects with the initials EWI, KAM, and AHM will be detained at the Salemba Detention Center Branch of the Attorney General's Office for 20 days from May 9, 2023, to May 28, 2023.
Meanwhile, the suspects with the initials CAK, US, and IS will be detained at the Class 1 detention center in Central Jakarta for the same period.
The Investigative Team did not disclose the specific charges against the six suspects. However, according to local media, they are believed to be involved in embezzlement and corruption activities related to the DP4 fund.
The Attorney General's Office has been ramping up its efforts to combat corruption in recent years. Last year, the agency launched a nationwide anti-corruption campaign and promised to prosecute corrupt officials regardless of their status.

"We are committed to creating a clean and fair legal system," said Attorney General Budhiarto Tjahjono in a recent press conference.
The investigation into the DP4 corruption case is ongoing, and the Attorney General's Office has promised to update the public as new information becomes available.
