JAKARTADAILY.ID – PT Pertamina (Persero) has resumed its 16th free homecoming program after being absent during the Covid-19 pandemic. This year's program saw 3,000 travelers participate, including informal working community members such as mosque keepers, scavengers, cleaners, and street vendors.

The theme for this year's program, in line with the Ministry of BUMN, was "Mudik Dinanti Mudik di Hati, Together BUMN 2023", with 82 BUMN companies involved and a choice of modes of transportation ranging from buses, trains, ships, and planes.

Pertamina deployed 64 buses with a total of 3,000 travelers to 17 routes, covering densely packed destinations for travelers. The program was aimed at supporting the Ministry of BUMN's program to express concern and gratitude for the Company by sharing happiness and blessings with travelers to gather with their beloved families.

Pertamina's 2023 Director of Logistics & Infrastructure, Pertamina Erry Widiastono, expressed that this free homecoming program was Pertamina's concrete step in supporting the Ministry of BUMN's program and showing gratitude to the people who have faithfully used Pertamina's products. "This program is a form of Pertamina's gratitude for being able to continue to be present in distributing energy for the Indonesian people," he added.

Travelers also received various benefits, such as travel insurance coverage, merchandise, and Rp. 25,000 e-vouchers through Pertamina Group collaboration.

One of the travelers who attended the release ceremony expressed his gratitude, saying "This free homecoming program really helps us, the people who want to go home. I am very grateful for the convenience and facilities provided by Pertamina. Through this program I can also gather with my family in my hometown."

To ensure travelers' safety, health, and security, Pertamina provided adequate equipment and modes of transportation that have been inspected and passed the roadworthy status. Each bus also had a coordinator to monitor the safety and needs of travelers during the trip. The program aimed not only to provide an opportunity for the community to gather with their families but also to provide a pleasant experience on homecoming trips.
