Confession of the Quran Tutor in Cirebon Who Molested Dozens of Children

JAKARTADAILY.ID –The Quran tutor from Pasindangan Village, Cirebon Regency who was arrested for molesting dozens of children confessed to his crimes. 

The man who is known by the initials S, alias OB, admitted that his crimes were a "mistake."

S was arrested by members of the Cirebon-City Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) Cirebon City Police on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

The 52-year-old man is a resident of Gang Karsan, Pasindangan Village, Gunung Jati District, Cirebon Regency.

After being arrested, S, who works as a Quran teacher at a madrasah in Pasindangan Village, was taken to the Cirebon City Police Headquarters. He was arrested on suspicion of molesting dozens of underage girls.

The teacher admitted that he had sexually abused 11 minors, all of whom were his students at the HN Madrasah in Pasindangan Village, Gunung Jati District, Cirebon.

When presented at a press conference at the Cirebon City Police Headquarters on Friday, March 17, 2023, the perpetrator confessed to his crime. 

"My actions were a mistake," said S.

According to police investigations, it was found that some of his students were injured physically by the actions he committed from November 2022 through January 2023. 

S is now being held at the Cirebon City Police Headquarters to be held accountable for his actions.
