JAKARTADAILY.ID – The Cirebon City Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) arrested a Quran tutor with the initial S alias OB aged 52 for molesting children.
The suspect was arrested at his house in Gang Karsan, Pasindangan Village, Gunung Jati District, Cirebon Regency.
Suspect S taught students how to read Arabic and the Qur'an at the HN Madrasah in Pasindangan Village, Gunung Jati District.
Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Ariek Indra Sentanu revealed that S was arrested on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
According to Ariek, S's arrest was based on a report from one of the parents of HN Madrasah students.
S is suspected of having sexually abused dozens of his students.
Ariek revealed that the victims were female students and were on average 9-12 years old.
"Suspect S was reported on suspicion of having sexually abused 11 of his students at the HN Madrasah," said Ariek, at the Cirebon City Police Headquarters, Friday, March 17, 2023.

Ariek explained the chronology of the arrest of suspect S.
On Friday, February 10, 2023, one of the parents of a student whose child was a victim of the suspect's actions came to the Cirebon City Police Headquarters.
The parents of the student reported the depraved acts of perpetrator S to the Cirebon City Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
Based on the report, the police then conducted an examination of the victim accompanied by his parents.
The police also asked for information from Madrasa HN teachers and Pasindangan village officials.
