JAKARTADAILY.ID - Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, said that 21 victims died as a result of landslides in Serasan District, Natuna Regency, Riau Archipelago, whose identities had been identified by the Police.
"As of today, Thursday 9 March 2023 this morning at 07.30 WIB, 21 people died. Those 21 victims who died were all identified," Ramadhan said during a press conference at the National Police Hospital, quoted from PMJnews on Friday, 10 March 2023.
The data related to the death toll is the recapitulation data which was recorded as of March 9, 2023, at 07.30 WIB.
Ramadhan said that regarding the handling of the landslide disaster, his party deployed 114 personnel to carry out the evacuation process.

"114 Polri personnel have arrived on Serasn Island," Ramadhan said.
Apart from that, Polri has also formed and deployed a trauma healing team consisting of psychologists and female police officers (policewomen).
"Apart from that, the National Police, through a trauma healing team from psychologists and from the policewomen, has conducted trauma healing for the children of families who were victims of the landslide disaster in Serasan," said Ramadhan.
Previously it was reported that the heavy rains that had fallen in the last few days caused a village in Pangkalan Village, Serasan District, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands (Kepri) to be buried in a landslide on Monday, March 6, 2023.
