JAKARTADAILY.ID - The police are on the hunt for an alleged "exhibitionist" in the Setiabudi area in South Jakarta.
The individual, driving a silver Mitsubishi Pajero, was masturbating in public with his sunroof open when he was recorded by a passing pedestrian.
The video went viral on social media before it was picked up by mainstream media.
The Setiabudi branch of the South Jakarta Metro Police reported that they have pocketed the identity of this individual.
Setiabudi Police Chief, Police Commissioner Arif Purnama Oktora confirmed the scene of the incident recorded in the viral video.
"It has been traced and is valid with the JPO at Madya Kuningan," said Arif Purnama Oktora, as quoted by PMJ Thursday, March 9, 2023
"We have identified the vehicle," said Arif in a press statement.
Previously, a video circulated on social media of the action of a man who was said to be carrying out an exhibitionist action in his car.
The narrative conveyed by the uploader of the video states that the perpetrator was masturbating from inside a Pajero car parked under the JPO with the sunroof open.
Feeling that someone caught and recorded his actions, the perpetrator rushed to leave the scene. ***
