JAKARTADAILY.ID - The Indonesian Badminton Association is mourning the death of a young Indonesian athlete, Az-Zahra Putri Dania.
The young female athlete was 18 when she died on Monday, February 27, 2023, due to an undisclosed illness.
"PP PBSI's extended family expressed their deepest condolences for the passing of one of the Indonesian young athletes Az-Zahra Putri Dania," the association wrote on Twitter.
Dania joined Pelatnas in 2022 after winning the National Selection event with her colleague Rafli Ramanda in the Mixed Doubles category.
The young woman, who was born on July 28, 2004, was also part of the Indonesian Junior Team and won a bronze medal at the 2022 Suhandinata Cup which took place in Santander, Spain.
PP PBSI also prayed for the best for the deceased and her family.
