JAKARTADAILY.ID - As an archipelagic country, Indonesia certainly continues to strengthen its sea fleet entrusted to the Navy. Since its establishment on September 10, 1945, TNI Al has played many roles in maintaining Indonesia's maritime sovereignty.
This strength has been recognized internationally, where the World Directory of Military Modern Warships ranks the Navy as the fourth strongest navy in the world.
"Becoming a Jalasena Samudera soldier is a calling of the soul to serve the nation and state on a path of service that is full of pride and honor," said the TNI Commander in commemorating the 78th Anniversary of the Navy at Ujung Pier Surabaya, East Java, Monday, September 11, 2023.
The 78th anniversary of the Navy raised the theme "With the Spirit of Jalesveva Jayamahe, Keep Moving Forward for Advanced Indonesia."
The TNI Commander on behalf of the extended family of the Indonesian National Army, congratulated all Jalasena Samudera soldiers, civil servants, and the extended family of the Navy wherever they are and serve.
"For 78 years, the Navy has grown and developed into a maritime force that is always ready to guard the country's sovereignty at sea, enforce law and security throughout Indonesian waters, and become one of the effective military diplomacy tools at the international level," he said.
In its service, the Navy has been able to face various conflicts and crises with courage. The Navy is also actively involved in various humanitarian operations at home and abroad. At the regional level, the Navy has a central role in maintaining maritime stability in the region.
In addition, the Navy has made a real contribution to the World Peacekeeping Operation Mission which has received high appreciation and recognition from the international community.
All of the Navy's achievements are due to the grace and blessings of God Almighty, as well as the fruit of the hard work and high dedication of all soldiers and the sincere support of the entire Navy family.
