JAKARTADAILY.ID - Eckle Athana from South Jakarta and Lady Sarah Karjana from Thousand Islands Regency have been crowned as Abang None Jakarta 2023.
The coronation was held on the Final Night of the 2023 Abang None Jakarta Election at Ciputra Artpreneur Theater, South Jakarta, on Thursday night, September 7, 2023. Eckle and Lady defeated dozens of participants who were young people from six administrative city areas in DKI Jakarta.
Before being declared the winner, all finalists demonstrated their ability to convey aspirations or views related to the City of Jakarta, and then the top 8 (eight) were selected based on the assessment of the jury.

After that, the top eight finalists answered random questions from the jury regarding various important issues related to Jakarta and Indonesia.
The assessment continued to narrow down to the top three where each finalist of Abang and None Jakarta gave answers to questions submitted by Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono and Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Regional National Craft Council (Dekranasda) Mirdiyanti Heru related to ASEAN Chairmanship 2023 and the potential strength of Jakarta tourism after the capital moved to IKN.
Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head Andhika Permata said, besides getting a cash prize worth one hundred million rupiah, the winner of Abang None Jakarta 2023 will be fully involved in every series of Jakarta Provincial Government activities, especially in tourism and creative economy, both domestic and foreign events.
"They will also be a representation in introducing culture in Jakarta. I hope Abang None Batch 2023, who were selected last night, are able to carry out their duties well and further introduce Jakarta's potential in the national scope, to the global world," said Andhika. (***)
