JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian train companies, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) and KAI Commuter launched their first documentary and omnibus (a combination of short films) produced by IDN Pictures. The film depicts the behind-the-scenes stories of train travel as well as the stories that take place in the railway service.

Director of KAI Didiek Hartantyo said KAI produced the film in the context of KAI's 77th Anniversary at the end of September.

KAI wants to educate the public, especially the millennial generation, in a contemporary way, one of which is through a work of art in the form of a film.

Documentary films and short films are an appropriate form of information source to introduce the company to the public because it builds an emotional connection with the audience,” said Didiek in a press release Friday, November 11, 2022.

KAI's documentary film titled "Bergerak Dengan Bahagia, Bergerak Untuk Indonesia" ("Moving with Happiness, Moving for Indonesia") is a Traveler Report genre with the target audience of the train lover community, film community, and KAI stakeholders.

This 51-minute film tells about the evaluation and innovation of KAI to further improve its services from year to year.

The shooting locations for the production of this film were carried out in a number of areas that serve trains in both Java and Sumatra, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Cibatu, Leuwigoong, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Solo, Klaten, Tanjung Karang, and Kotabumi.

The time required for the production of this film is 1 month. In making this film, KAI involved all levels of workers from the President Director, Station Head, Machinist, and Conductor, to the Traffic Guard officers.

"The collaboration of KAI, KAI Commuter, and IDN Pictures in producing a film for the first time is expected to increase people's love for trains so that more people use trains as their favorite mode of transportation." close Didiek.

The premiere of this film will be at the XXI Braga City Walk Cinema, Bandung on Thursday, November 10, 2022. To introduce these two films to a wider audience, KAI and KAI Commuter will conduct a road show Gala Premiere in other cities, namely Yogyakarta, Solo, Surabaya, Semarang, and Jakarta.

The event invited corporate stakeholders such as local governments, train users, communities, and train lovers, as well as other related parties.
