While certainly flattering, it's probably not the attention Garfield's after these days – the actor revealed earlier this year that he's planning to step away from acting for a while in order to be “ordinary for a while”.

His surprise remarks came off the back of a hectic year in his career, which included starring roles in several high-profile projects and a “washing machine” of an awards season.

“I'm going to rest for a little bit,” Garfield told Variety in April.

“I need to recalibrate and reconsider what I want to do next and who I want to be and just be a bit of a person for a while … I need just to be a bit ordinary.”
