Located on the shores of the capital at Cove Batavia, Pantai Indah Kapuk, the Oyster Dealer offers an experience of eating oysters by the coastline.
Oysters have a reputation for being expensive, and often catered to the wealthier markets, however, Andika Biantara, the owner of Oyster Dealer, wanted to bring the food to the casual restaurant-goers, which is why he decided to set up shop in Pantai Indah Kapuk.
Andika said that the oysters available at his restaurant are of the Pacific Oyster variety, harvested from Indonesian waters, among them from Sumatra, Lombok, Bali, and Lampung. He said their quality is nothing to scoff at and is comparable to imported oysters.

"Pacific Oysters from Sumatra is one of Oyster Dealer's most reliable menus because it's sweet and meaty. We work together with local fishermen in order to get quality local oysters," said Andika, who is also a chef at the restaurant.
Furthermore, oysters are stored in aquafarm with special care. Starting from the water temperature, type, and also the content of water particles so that the level of freshness is also maintained.
Eating the oysters for seafood newbies can also be an experience, as they are often served raw and can be eaten straight from the shell with the addition of special sauces such as Nam-jim or Thai sauce, as well as mango sauce which tastes sweet and savory.
However, for those of you who don't like to eat raw oysters, here there is also a menu of oysters or oysters that have been cooked with special recipes.
