JAKARTADAILY.ID – Indonesian football star Pratama Arhan Alif Rifai is moving from PSIS Semarang to Japanese football club Tokyo Verdy.
Arhan's transfer to Japan is a long wait for Tokyo Verdy because the negotiation process itself has started in August 2021, but the transfer of the player has only been realized about 6 months later.
"We are pleased to inform you that Arhan who is a member of PSIS Semarang in Indonesia has decided to join Tokyo Verdy with a complete transfer," said Tokyo Verdy's press release regarding Arhan's transfer on Wednesday, on the official website www.verdy.co.jp.
Tokyo Verdy also stated that due to immigration restrictions, Arhan's arrival schedule was being adjusted. After entering Japan, Arhan will sign an official contract after a medical examination and after a predetermined waiting period, as an additional epidemic prevention measure, and to prevent the spread of Corona virus infection.
"We have been considering and negotiating for the acquisition since August last year, but due to the spread of the coronavirus infection, we were unable to come to the location to negotiate," reads the same press release.

Pratama Arhan, the player who was born on December 21, 2001, has a height of 172 cm and a weight of 64 kilograms. Arhan started his football career at the PSIS Semarang Academy. Then Arhan was always chosen to be part of the best players in Indonesia by joining the U-19 Indonesian National Team (in 2020 and 2021), the U-23 Indonesian National Team (2021), the Indonesian National Team in 2021.
His achievements are also classy, including the Best Young Player (2020) in the Southeast Asian Football Championship Tournament (AFF Suzuki Cup), Award The Best Young Player of the Menpora Cup (2021).
Pratama itself on its official Instagram account, @ pratamaarhan8, announced the transfer of PSIS Semarang to Tokyo Verdy, one of the most successful teams in the history of Japanese Football. He also promised to give his best performance to help Tokyo Verdy return to Japan's League 1, and win the hearts of his fans. Currently, Tokyo Verdy is in the Japanese League 2.

Arhan's move to advance to this class has received support from various parties, including the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo. In his Instagram account, @ganjar_pranowo, Ganjar wished Arhan success in his career in Japan. "God willing, it will shine even more at Club Tokyo Verdy Japan," he said.
PSIS Semarang through their Instagram account, @psisfcofficial, gave their support. “We can confirm that Primary Arhan will continue his career in the second tier of the Japanese league by joining Tokyo Verdy.
