The purpose of these planned summonses is to support ongoing efforts to investigate and shed light on the alleged fraud case.
Adi elaborated on this by explaining that the invitations were part of the broader initiative to uncover potential instances of online ticket fraud.
The current investigation by Bareskrim Polri focuses on the suspected fraudulent sales of tickets for the upcoming Coldplay concert.
The British band is scheduled to perform at the Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) on November 15, 2023.
Adi Bachtiar further revealed that the suspicions of fraud arose from cyber patrols conducted by the police.
These patrols have brought attention to a Twitter account under the username @iamyourpuduu, which claimed that their friend had incurred a loss of IDR 1.2 million due to fraudulent ticket sales.
The account also reported additional victims who suffered losses amounting to tens of millions of rupiah, allegedly as a result of deceptive practices by users of the Twitter account @findtrove_id.
As the investigation progresses, the summoning of ticket sales providers is expected to provide crucial information regarding the alleged fraud. The authorities remain committed to ensuring a fair and transparent process while addressing concerns related to ticket sales for the highly anticipated Coldplay concert.
